The University of Bradford is pleased to announce the availability of the AHRC Heritage Consortium Master’s Studentship in the UK for the year 2019, welcoming applications from International Students. Description of the Scholarship: Applications are now being accepted for the AHRC Heritage Consortium Master’s Studentship at the University of Bradford. This opportunity is open to students from EU countries who wish to embark on a postgraduate degree program.

Valued at £8,933, the studentship covers the course fee and includes a maintenance award. The award is versatile and can be utilized to support enrollment in any of the Master’s programs offered by the university.

Scholarship Provider: The University of Bradford, situated in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, is a public, plate glass university. Notably, it was the first university outside London to introduce part-time degree courses. The university’s courses are tailored to address the evolving landscapes of business, society, science, and the environment.

Degree Level: The studentship is open for the master degree program.

Available Subjects: The studentship is applicable to various Master’s programs, including MA in Archaeology & Identity, MSc in Archaeological Sciences, MSc in Human Osteology and Palaeopathology, MSc in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation, and MSc in Landscape Archaeology and Digital Heritage.

Scholarship Benefits: The studentship, valued at £8,933, will cover the course fee and provide a maintenance award.

Eligible Nationalities: Scholarships are available to students from Anguilla, Austria, Belgium, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territories, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Bulgaria, Cayman Islands, Croatia, Cyprus (European Union), Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, the Republic of, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte (French Territorial Collectivity), Montserrat, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oenno Islands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Sweden, Turks & Caicos Islands, Wales.

Entrance Requirements: To be considered for the studentship you must have a minimum of an upper second class honors degree or above.

  • The award is aligned to standard wording in the AHRC student funding guide.
  • Students from EU countries other than the UK would be restricted to tuition fees only and no maintenance award. Non-EU students are not eligible for this funding.
  • Note, in order to be considered for a studentship you must first apply to the University for admission to an appropriate programme of study.

Application Procedure:

  • Applicants must first apply to the University for admission to the appropriate programme of study and complete an application form which includes a statement which summarises relevant experience and interest in the subject.
  • In your application form, please provide details of your undergraduate degree award and identify the programme of study you wish to take, providing a clear case for support (max 500 words) for the funding that you are applying for.
  • pay particular attention to how the studentship would help you to realize your career goals.
  • Ensure you have given careful thought as to how you would envisage conducting dissertation research that would contribute to the Heritage theme.
