The third 14C and Diet conference will be held at the University of Oxford 20th – 23rd June,
2023.
As with previous meetings, the main focus of this workshop will be on aspects of prehistoric human dietary adaptations and the application of radiocarbon, coupled with stable isotopes to provide insight into past diet.
There is growing awareness of the link between radiocarbon variation and dietary choice and the influence on the construction of reliable chronologies.
We welcome presentations that use diet-related stable isotopes, including carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, and sulfur, in the archaeological past and link them with radiocarbon dating to better understand the chronology of sites and regions.
