Organizer: British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology (BABAO); 17 Sep 2022 – 19 Sep 2022 • Northumbria University and Newcastle University, United Kingdom
Abstract: BABAO, which was formed in 1998, promotes the study of biological (or physical) anthropology with the goal of understanding the physical improvement of the human species from the past to the present.
Biological anthropologists study biological evolution and variation. This may include primatology, hominines, medical anthropology, forensic anthropology, and bioarchaeology, with the latter focusing on archaeological human remains and including palaeopathology, or the study of ancient disease.
The British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology (BABAO) provides a forum for professional and student discussion and intellectual exchange in all areas of biological anthropology.
